“This cold lemonade is as sweet as living a good life and living the dream all at once.”

~ so says James Marc Beverly in Glacier Bay, AK. “You’ve got to think about what you want to fill your life with and go from there. Life was in full swing, filled with climbing, skiing, a career. Then came sailing, and I knew there was going to be some big changes.

Here’s a great shot I took of Erin on our friend’s boat, Salpare. Fran and Jeff Sharp invited us to join them on a trip to Glacier Bay, AK. They put up the asymmetrical spinnaker for the downwind sail out of one of the most iconic locations on earth, so I had to grab the dinghy and run out ahead to capture this shot of the Johns Hopkins Glacier with Mount Fairweather, BC in the background on the 4th of July, 2018. The story was immediately published in the Fall 2018 edition of the Catalina Mainsheet.

The Sharps were instrumental in getting us involved in sailing in 2015 and continue to inspire us with their escapades and travels abroad. Erin and I now are big fans of the lifestyle as it’s definitely sustainable and keeps the stoke of adventure for us true and alive!

James Marc Beverly was arrested with his gang in Glacier Bay by the pure beauty of the majestic cirque and the calving of the Johns Hopkins Glacier.
